 Alpha Omega Society was established in 1965 in Surabaya, Indonesia. Alpha Omega Society's objective is to train and empower Christian leaders to serve and meet the need in communities throughout Indonesia. Working in partnership with various denominations and para-church organizations, Alpha Omega has trained thousands of leaders. These leaders play an important role in the community where they live, both in meeting spiritual, emotional, as well as the social needs of the people they serve. Using their practical skills and giftings, church planters become a vital part of the community, establishing contact and building meaningful relationships with the people. |

Through training centers located throughout Indonesia, quality and capable leaders are trained and prepared to serve communities to which they are commissioned. Workers from each region are train locally to be send back to the community they are from. Workers knowledge of local language, customs and traditions, enable them to face difficulties and challenges in establishing and developing relationship with key people in their community. |

In the past 40 years thousands of churches have been planted throughout Indonesia. Graduates from the leadership training schools serve as the key to Alpha Omega's success in church planting strategy. Presently there are 1000 church planters serving in 27 provinces throughout Indonesia. Church Planters are provided support for the period of 24 months to establish a church in their designated area. Church planters are equipped with tools and resources for their ministry. Each Church Planter receives start up capital to establish their presence in the community. At the end of the 24 months a church is established.

 | In 1996 Street Children Ministry was established. Children from poor families receive subsidy for their education and spiritual needs. Presently hundreds of children are under our care and receiving support. Alpha Omega Society is working in partnership with Children of Hope Canada. |  | In preparing leaders for the future, Alpha Omega Society provides tools for more that 2000 children in elementary and middle schools in Indonesia. Computers and language tools are provided to help children develop skills by use of modern technology. ESL teachers from Canada and the U.S.A. assist students in learning the English language. |

Alpha Omega Society hosts short term mission trips in partnership with agencies and groups in the U.S.A. and Canada. Medical, Task Force, and Ministry Teams travel to Indonesia for a period of two to three weeks to serve in various ministry opportunities throughout Indonesia. This life changing adventure has blessed both the team as well as the people of Indonsia. |
